KHD and AVIC Partnership Announce First Joint Project
The AVIC – KHD strategic partnership, launched in 2011, is bringing in new business for both companies. Invecem Cement of Venezuela has awarded the AVIC-KHD team their first, joint EPC project for a new 2,400 tpd (tons per day) line at their existing cement plant in San Sebastián, Venezuela. KHD will supply the key core equipment, engineering, and services for the project. All other equipment, construction, and site services will be provided by AVIC. When completed, the new line will run on clean, natural gas.

KHD wins order for 5,000 t/d kiln line in Brazil
Cologne, August 29, 2011 - Humboldt Wedag Inc., a subsidiary of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (KHD) has received an order from Cimentos Liz S.A. in Brazil for the equipment supply, engineering and site advisory and commissioning services, for a new 5,000 t/d production line.

KHD solidifies its leading position as a partner for the Turkish cement industry
KIPAS – Kahramanmaras Cimento Beton Sanayii Ve Madencilik Isletmeleri
(KCS) awarded KHD Humboldt Wedag the contract to engineer and deliver equipment for its second cement production line with a capacity of 4,500 t/d clinker, and the contract for increasing its cement grinding capacity by installing a COMFLEX® grinding system. The new production line will be built directly next to Line I, also delivered by KHD, which started production in 2009 near the city of Kahramanmaras in southeastern Turkey.
