The 19th Global CemFuels event in 2026 will showcase the best alternative fuels projects and equipment from the cement industry from around the world. Fuel mix optimisation and combustion and pyro-process optimisation will be examined in depth. Hydrogen and ammonia use as alternative fuels for cement and lime production will also be covered. Delegates are expected to attend from more than 40 countries, to learn from experts how to start to use – or to increase their use of – alternative fuels. The 5th ICCCSC will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, covering topics related to low-carbon cement production, performance evaluation, application opportunities, case studies, latest research and development in LC2 and LC3 technology, and environmental efficiency. The focus will be on sustainable concrete technology and application, addressing production and quality control, fresh and hardened concrete properties, service life modelling, current and future developments, practical applications, and more.
The global cement industry faces twin crises: A retirement crisis and a recruitment crisis. In essence, experienced cement industry workers are retiring at a faster rate than their replacements can be recuited and trained, leaving critical gaps in staffing and knowledge. At the same time, the application of artifical intelligence and automation offer an alternative way forward, one that also promises routes to operational optimisation and increased profitability. The Global CementAI Conference will cover the latest state-of-the-art in AI for the cement industry, as well as an overview of automation solutions.
