With similar properties to clinker but a much lower carbon footprint, calcined clay is recognized as key tool for lowering the carbon footprint of cement.
Open the door to the highest thermal substitution rates with our most advanced technology for processing even the most challenging of alternative fuels.
Our trailblazing solution for permanent NOX reduction, without end-of-pipe control measures, even when using low-volatile alternative fuels.
The most energy-efficient grinding machine on the market: enjoy lower energy bills, while reducing the indirect carbon emissions associated with cement production.
Using the lowest possible inputs of raw materials and energy, an efficient process is, by default, a greener process. Which is where our smart automation solutions can help.
We’re not going to lie to you, however. Cleaning up cement is a difficult talk, no matter what some in the industry claim. More than half of carbon emissions result from the calcination of limestone in the process: these emissions cannot (as yet) be avoided. But through the use of alternative fuels and alternative cementitious materials (such as calcined clay) and by improving the energy efficiency of the process, we can make a difference today.
We can also take significant steps to eliminate the vast majority of other pollutants from the process, such as NOx.
To make the most of the opportunities available, however, requires significant experience and expertise. Not only in the technologies themselves, but in process engineering and plant design. It also requires a well-trained workforce, capable of running plants and equipment at the peak of their potential.
With more than 160 years of innovation in the cement industry under our belts, we are your partners for achieving a cleaner cement process, today. At the same time, we don’t rest on past glories. We continuously challenge ourselves to go further and achieve more: to continue to lead innovation and ensure the cement industry has the solutions to meet not only the challenges of today, but of the future too.
