KHD and AVIC Partnership Announce First Joint Project

The AVIC – KHD strategic partnership, launched in 2011, is bringing in new business for both companies. Invecem Cement of Venezuela has awarded the AVIC-KHD team their first, joint EPC project for a new 2,400 tpd (tons per day) line at their existing cement plant in San Sebastián, Venezuela. KHD will supply the key core equipment, engineering, and services for the project. All other equipment, construction, and site services will be provided by AVIC. When completed, the new line will run on clean, natural gas.

The KHD Group and Heidelberg Materials have signed a FEED contract to develop the planning of the new oxyfuel kiln at Heidelberg Materials’ plant in Geseke, Germany. The FEED study for the kiln represents an important part of the overall planning of the project.

AVIC International Beijing, in collaboration with Humboldt Wedag GmbH (KHD), has been awarded a prestigious contract from Ciments de l’Afrique (CIMAF) to build a state-of-the-art 900 tons per day clay calcination plant in Burkina Faso.
