KHD signs License Agreement with Weir Minerals for HPGR Technology

For the past three years Weir has acted as KHD’s agent for the marketing of High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGRs) in the minerals sector, operating on a commission only basis. KHD is an originator of HPGR technology with 2011 and 2012 order intake relating to minerals HPGRs averaging €25m a year. This agreement has been replaced by an exclusive and perpetual license agreement, giving Weir direct control over the design, manufacture and distribution of HPGR equipment in minerals processing applications utilizing KHD’s technology, in return for royalty payments on equipment sales. Several KHD technical staff engaged in applying HPGRs in minerals processing will be offered employment with Weir.

KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG starts 2013 with increased order backlog but market remains uncertain

KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (KHD),one of the world’s leading providers of equipment and services for the cementindustry, closed the 2012 financial year with a strong increase in order intake andorder backlog and has thus established a good starting position for future growth.Although Group revenue (€ 213.5 million) and EBIT margin (3.0%) fell short of theprevious year’s figures, both came in within announced targets.

Holcim awards KHD group € 69 million order for 9,000 tpd cement plant in India

KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG subsidiaries, Humboldt Wedag India, Pvt. Ltd. and Humboldt Wedag GmbH (collectively “KHD”) received an order from Holcim Group company ACC Limited, India, for a new 9,000 tpd cement plant. The total project value, of € 69 million, consists of a euro portion of € 19.8 million and an Indian rupee portion equivalent to € 49.2 million. The plant will be built in Jamul, Chhattisgarh, India and is scheduled for commissioning in May 2015.

KHD to upgrade Italcementi’s Rezatto plant in environmentally sensitive region

The Italcementi Group (ITC) recently awarded KHD a contract to upgrade and redevelop its historic Brescia Rezzato plant. The upgraded plant, situated the in environmentally sensitive Lake Garda region, will have to adhere to very strict emissions, noise and other environmental requirements, while simultaneously ensuring highest levels of availability and low investment costs.

Project postponements force KHD to revise revenue guidance 2012

Postponements in the execution of certain projects have forced KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG to revise its 2012 revenue guidance. The company expects to achieve 2012 full year revenues between € 210 – € 220 mio.
EBIT margin guidance of 2% – 4% remains unchanged.

Results: KHD Annual General Meeting 2012

On Friday October 5th all company proposals were passed at KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG’s (KHD) Annual General Meeting. 79.6% of KHD’s outstanding share capital was represented at the shareholder meeting held at the Marriott Hotel in Cologne, Germany.

Eliza Yuen to chair KHD Supervisory Board

Today, the Supervisory Board of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG has voted unanimously to elect Eliza Suk Ching Yuen as chairperson. Ms. Yuen has served on the KHD Supervisory Board since May 2011 and has been working in the function of deputy chairperson for the last several months.

KHD Triples Order Intake and Confirms Guidance

Although tough market conditions continued to hamper KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG’s (KHD) revenue and EBIT growth, the company was successful in winning new orders with its strategic partners during the first six months of 2012, and, thus, laying the foundation for future growth.

New date for KHD Annual General Meeting

Further to today’s postponement notice of the KHD Humboldt Wedag AG Annual General Meeting, the company would like to inform all shareholders that this change in date is not related to a takeover bid or any type operational business issues. The postponement is only due to a sudden technicality related to executing the AGM.

Cancellation of the Annual General Meeting

The KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG management board is hereby cancelling the Annual General Meeting, which was scheduled for July 27, 2012.
The company will announce a new meeting date next week.
