Five successful PG tests conducted in the first quarter of 2022

Humboldt Wedag India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, successfully completed five PG tests in three different projects during the first quarter of 2022.

Chettinad Cement – Dachepalli
The Dachepalli project consisted of two “firsts” for KHD in India. The successful PG test for raw grinding was the first project in India with a Pyrostep® cooler with an intermediate roller crusher installed. The pyroprocess PG test included the first installation of a Pyroredox® reactor that helps to sustainably reduce NOX emissions.

Dalmia DSP Ltd – Kalyanpur
The Kalyanpur project successfully upgraded the pyroprocess and the raw grinding circuit. The pyroprocess was increased from 1900 to 2400 tpd and the raw grinding circuit was successfully increased from 140 to 200 tph.

UTCL Slag Grinding – Patliputra
In 2019, the Aditya Birla Group awarded KHD with a ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) grinding system with a capacity of 92 tph. The erection work was finished in the year 2021, and the PG test was successfully conducted after six months of commissioning in early 2022.
