KHD participates in the ACCSESS project

Starting in May 2022, KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG participates in the ACCSESS project to develop carbon capture utilization & storage technologies for the cement industry.

The international R&D consortium will be working on a comprehensive development program which will generate several pilot implementations of carbon capture technologies in cement plants, pulp and paper-, biorefineries and waste-to-energy plants in Europe.

KHD COMFLEX® Roller Press systems for ASKALE’s Akoluk and Bilecik Cement Plants in Turkey

Askale Cimento once again placed its trust in KHD’s technology and awarded KHD with two new COMFLEX® grinding units. In Akoluk the new COMFLEX® system will be installed in front of a new 100 tph ball mill. In Bilecik the COMFLEX® unit will allow Askale Cemento to increase the existing capacity from 100 tph to 210 tph @ 3800 blaine. Between 2006 and 2011 KHD supplied three kiln lines to Askale plants in Askale, Van and Gümüshane.
